MORE ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
LOCnificent Fest was established in Brooklyn, NY in 2018. We create energetic and exciting events that showcase and celebrate the cultural beauty and abundance of locs and natural hair. Our primary purpose is to bring together people of diverse backgrounds and shared values and dispel misconceptions related to loc'd, natural and textured hair. More specifically, we curate an annual event every September/October, called LOCnificent Fest, that features a natural hair show, live hair styling and demonstrations, vendors, and several live cultural performances.
Men with Locs is a lifestyle and cultural social media platform and blog that celebrates beautiful men with beautiful locs, and loc culture. The platform highlights loc'd men, as individuals, and documents their loc journey by way of photography, vidoes, dialogue, and more. Men with Locs was established by two Philadephia, PA based sisters with locs, in 2014.
