Bar Society, Scorch, Les NYC, Millo Ent (yes epic) bring you: “So:Ho Day Party” - September - fusing together (for the first time) our two favorite genres of music: Soca Music + House Music, for a truly universal sound and party. So:Ho Sounds aka So(ca) Ho(use) is a deconstruction of the Caribbean/West Indian genres, particularly Soca, into distinct tribal, Afro-centric, Latin, Indian and tech Caribbean rhythms (and “riddims”). So:Ho Sounds is our Caribbean House Music that will be curated by us on our Bar Society Beach Rooftop. Orchestrating live is the international (Trinidad based) drumming duo, Boom Boom Room & (Miami based) saxophonist, Jehiah Sax . Bringing the So:Ho Sounds electronically is LA-based/Trinidad-born - DJ Foreigner - known for his immersive, cinematic, Caribbean-inflected dance parties and his Afrodiasporic DJ sets at clubs and festivals around the world. Adam Cooper aka Foreigner, brings his Caribbean-inflected story-telling sound to our epic September So:Ho Day Party, as our 2024 Summer Resident DJ & Curator. His previous two performances of the season (on June 30, July 28) were historic - and September 8 will be the biggest/baddest rendition of So:Ho Sounds aka Soca House aka Caribbean House Music as he’s joined by So:Ho originators: DJ Pelau, Donny Oh Bachannal, Rhythm Factory
